Steamed Seafood with Egg

Ingredients
  • 3 oz. crab meat
  • 4 oz. ground pork
  • 4 oz. chopped shrimp
  • 2 black mushroom
  • 2 tbsp. clear soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. fish sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1½ cups water  
  • 1/4 tsp. cornstarch
Preparation

Soak black mushrooms in warm water until soft. Remove and cut in thin slices. Combine all ingredients except water in a 1½ quart bowl suitable for use in steamer. Stir gently with a fork for 1 minute. 

Add water and stir again for 30 seconds. Place bowl in hot steamer over high heat. Steam for 50 minutes. Serve in same bowl used for steaming. 

This is a very popular food in Thailand, especially among young children.

Serves 3 to 5 persons.
