Fish with Chili Sauce (Pla Lad Prig)
- 1½ cup clear soup broth or water
- 1/2 tbsp red curry paste
- 1¼ tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tsp fresh (chop) chili or ground papper
- 5 wild lime leaves or baimakrut thinly slice
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 10-14 oz. fillet or whole fish
- 2 cups cooking oil
- 1 tsp chopped garlic
- 1/2 cup chopped green onion
Place wok over high heat and add oil. When the oil is hot place the fish in wok, fry until golden brown remove and place on plater. Clean the wok and wipe dry.
Add 1/3 cup of oil to wok at medium high heat.
Add garlic, chili paste, onion and sugar stir about 1/2 minute. Add remaining ingredients stir until mixed turn the heat to high, and leave for 2 minutes. Pour over fish.
Serves 2.
