Braised Tape Fish with Green Onion

Ingredients
  • 1½ lb. Tape fish
  • 1 cup Soup stock
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil

Ingredients A:

  • 3 tbsp Soysauce
  • ½ tbsp Wine

Ingredients B:

  • 10 Green onion
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, shredded

Ingredients C:

  • 2 tbsp Soysauce
  • 2½ tbsp Sugar
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
Preparation
  1. Clean tape fish, score deeply crosswise on bothside and then cut into 2½ cm sections. Marinate with “Ingredients A”, ginger slice and 2 green onion for 10 minutes.
  2. Deep fry fish in hot oil till golden brown remove and drain.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp oil to stir fry “Ingredients B”, add fish, soupstock and “Ingredients C”, cook over high heat, when boiling (cover the lid), turn to low heat and cook for another 10 minutes.
  4. Open the lid, turn to high heat again, Constantly use a spatula to pour stock on top of fish. When soup reduced, sprinkle 1 tsp sesame oil. Serve.
