Oriental Spare Ribs
- 2 lbs. spare ribs
- 3 tbsp. Golden Mountain Sauce
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 2 tbsp. hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 1 tbsp. minced garlic
- 1 tbsp. cooking wine or sake
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. five spice powder (optional)
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
Slice ribs apart and cut into 5" lengths. Place all ingredients in mixing bowl. Add ribs and stir until well covered. Marinate in sauce for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Pour 2 cups of water in large shallow roasting pan and place on lowest rack of oven to catch drippings. Arrange ribs on wire rack and place on middle rack of oven. Bake for 30 minutes. Open oven and turn ribs over. Bake for an additional 20 minutes.
Serves 4 persons.
