Black Mushrooms with Scallops-Vegetarian Style

Ingredients
  • 6 Dried bean curd sheets
  • 1 Egg
  • 10 Black mushroom
  • ½ tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch

Ingredients A:

  • 1 Star anise
  • 1 Ginger slice
  • 3 tbsp Soysauce
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • pepper
  • 1½ cup Vegetarian soup
Preparation
  1. Rub dried bean curd sheet with a little beaten egg, cover another one sheet, rub all sheets, then roll tightly into a tube, Deep fry in hot oil till golden browen. Cut into 1" sections. place in a plate. This is vege tarian scallops.
  2. Remove stems from soaked black mushooms. Cover each vegetarian scallop with one mushroom, add “Ingredients A” and steam for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp oil, pour “2” stock, bring to a boil, thicken with cornstarch paste, sprinkle sesame oil. pour over mushrooms. Serve.
