Shrimp Stir Fried with Vegetables
- 12 large shrimp
- 3 oz. bean sprouts
- 3 oz. pea pods
- 2 stalks celery
- 3 black mushrooms
- 1 oz. water chestnuts-sliced
- 1/4 lb. broccoli
- 2 green onions
- 3 oz. sliced bamboo shoots
- 1/4 lb. cauliflower-sliced
- 1 tbsp. fish sauce
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1½ tsp. cooking wine
- 6 tbsp. cooking oil
- 6 tbsp. hot water
- 1/2 tbsp. Oyster sauce
Soak black mushroom in warm water for 15 minutes. Remove from water and slice. Cut green onion and celery in 2" lengths. Slice broccoli in spears 3" long.
Preheat wok over high heat. Add oil and wait until hot. Place broccoli, celery, black mushrooms, cauliflower and bamboo shoots in wok. Stir fry for 2 minutes. Add shrimp, bean sprouts, peapods, water chestnuts, green onion and fish sauce. Stir slightly. Add sugar, garlic salt and wine. Again stir slightly. Add water. Stir about 1 minute until well mixed. Remove and place in serving dish. Serves 2.
