Cornish Hen in Ginger Sauce
- 2 Cornish hens
- 3½ cups water
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. rice wine
- 2 green onion
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 2 tbsp. sweet black soy sauce
- 3½ tbsp. raw sugar
- 2 tbsp. oyster sauce
- 2 star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. ginger powder
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 1 tbsp. Golden Mountain Sauce
Place all ingredients except chicken and sesame oil in a large saucepan. Place on stove and boil. Stir to mix. Lower to medium heat and boil for 1 minute. Add Cornish hens let boil 5 minutes and simmer for 15 minutes or until done. Turn off heat. Cover pot and let stand for 10 minutes. Remove hens and rub with sesame oil. Cut into bite size pieces with cleaver. Place on platter and serve.
