Shrimp with Basil Leaves
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
- 12 large shrimp
- 1 green pepper
- 1 onion
- 5 chilli peppers
- 2 green onions
- 4 oz. basil leaves
- 3 oz. water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tbsp. fish sauce
- 1 tbsp. Golden Mountain Sauce
- 1/2 tsp. msg (optional)
- 4 tbsp. oil
Cut green pepper into 6 pieces. Slice onion in 1/2" wide pieces and cut green onion into 2" lengths.
Place oil in wok and heat over medium high flame. When oil is hot add all vegetables and chilies. Stir for 30 seconds. Turn flame to high. Add shrimp. Stir once or twice then add sugar, fish sauce, msg Golden Mountain Sauce and water. Stir until shrimp is cooked. Place on serving plate. Serves 2.
This recipe may also be used with pork, beef, chicken or squid instead of shrimp.
